The Intelligent Investor
Warren Buffett says "this is by far the best investment
book ever written". It is a bit difficult to read, but you must
make the effort. While investing fads have come and gone, this
book has withstood the test of time. Although Checklist Investor
comes with the Intelligent Investor checklist, this book is one
every investor must own, as it will be a cornerstone to your investment
library.
One Up On Wall Street
Very easy to read classic on how Peter Lynch picked winning
stocks for his phenomenal run at Fidelity Magellan. Described is
a method that individuals can use to beat the pros (but be careful
here, just because you like the product, you still must do the research
into the numbers). Has withstood the test of time, and qualifies
as a must read.
Should Have Books
Securities Analysis
For the true number cruncher. Worth a read if you will be doing

After you read The Intelligent Investor, if you crave more details,
read this book.
The Warren Buffett Way
Every fan of the Buffett style of investing should read this book. You can gain a detailed understanding of

The Essays of Warren Buffett: Lessons
for Corporate America
There are uncountable gems of financial wisdom to be harvested from
these essays, taken from the annual reports he writes for Berkshire
Hathaway, his holding company.
Sam Walton: Made in America
While a great story in itself, this book does not have a direct
reference to stock picking, except for the dramatic illustration
of how growth can occur in top notch companies. After reading this
book, you will have a very skeptical eye towards overpaid, wasteful
management (of which is in abundance these days!)
